Since 2007, Zlienhas been in a leader in construction legal document preparation, and has published the Construction Lien Blog, commenting on our services and construction lien information and news.

We’re pleased to learn that the Construction Lien Blog has been recently added to ABA Journal’s BLAWG directory, and can be found here: http://www.abajournal.com/blawgs/construction_lien_blog/.

ABAJournal.com is the Web site of the flagship magazine of the American Bar Association, and provides the public with an extensive listing of legal blogs from law firms, attorneys, legal journals and consultants.

The term “BLAWG” is used in the legal industry to describe “law blogs,” and is specifically derived from combining those two words.

Zlien’s Construction Lien Blog becomes one of just 30 “blawgs” nationwide delivering information in the “construction law” category. To see summaries from all 30 blogs, click here.

Over the past few weeks, Zlien has been improving the design and function of its website. As reported through a separate release, we’ve added the new LienWizard to guide visitors through the lien process and the ordering of notices, liens and more. We’ve also added a “How Zlien Works” page as a comprehensive support site, where users can watch videos and screencast tutorials on how Zlien can help companies Lien Smarter.

We’re now happy to announce to our visitors that the “Our Services” section of the website has been launched.

This section of the site not only explains to visitors the services provided by Zlien, but it also provides free state-by-state lien law resources.

The site summarizes the notice requirements and lien deadlines for each state, provides you valuable links to other other resources on the web related to that state’s lien laws, has a collection of free lien and notice forms for easy download, and even provides you with a directory of some of that state’s construction attorneys.

The new services portion of Zlien.com is just another way for our company to help you Lien Smarter.

SEATTLE, WA (December 23, 2008) — Zlien, Inc. is excited to introduce its proprietary Lien Wizard, proclaiming that its innovative lien filing and management service has just gotten smarter.

The new Lien Wizard makes it easier than ever for contractors, suppliers and others to build and order construction notices, mechanics liens, lien releases, cancellations and more.

The Lien Wizard collects information about the contractor and the particular project, and determines what types of documents may be filed.

“It’s really a spectacular new feature,” says founder Scott Wolfe, Jr. “Lien law can be quite complex. We’re trying to harness web technology to make it easier than ever for contractors to protect and assert their deserved lien rights. The Lien Wizard takes the project information, applies it to the legal standards, and figures out what should be filed. And it’s getting smarter every day.”

Within the next thirty days, Zlien is adding a web-based lien management service to its suite of lien solutions. The management software will calculate lien deadlines, offer contractors deadline alerts, and notify users of the lien law that applies specifically to its project.
